It’s a pretty contentious topic to pick one AeroPress recipe to share with you. Surprisingly, even though an AeroPress is the most simple coffee “machine”, it also has thousands of variations on how to make coffee with it. We’re sharing with you our go-to recipe. If you can’t travel without good coffee, this is an excellent piece of equipment to pack into your bag.

Ingredients

  • 15 grams of espresso blend coffee, ground slightly coarser than filter (this depends on your machine settings)
  • 200 mls (6.7 oz) filtered, boiled water

Equipment

Recipe

  1. Put the kettle to boil, and once it does, set a timer for one minute
  2. Grind the coffee during this time
  3. Put the paper filter into the cap and give it a quick rinse. Assemble the AeroPress and pour the ground coffee into it
  4. Pour the hot water into the AeroPress and stir with the wand three to five times, do this gently
  5. Insert the plunger slowly and then give it a little tug so it forms a seal, this stops the coffee from pouring out.
  6. Wait 1 – 2 minutes then press the plunger all the way, stopping when you hear a hiss
  7. Sip and enjoy
