In order to do a doppio well, you will need a double-sized portafilter basket that’s able to handle the double shot needed for this drink. Otherwise, you can make do with pouring two single shots into a glass. Here’s a double-shot recipe to deliciousness.

- Great quality espresso beans

- Heat up the coffee machine. Depending on your machine, that could take 30 seconds to 20 minutes.
- Grind coffee, if needed, and dry wipe the inside of your portafilter with a teacloth
- Pour your ground coffee into the portafilter and distribute the coffee and tamp it firmly and evenly.
- Flush out your coffee machine for a couple of seconds.
- Lock the portafilter into the espresso machine and brew the double-shot
- Wait around a minute, if you’re a purist, or just shot away.
